World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade lets players increase the gear rating of an item up 700 points and also add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. the original source come with a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a group. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While upgrade item is usually an excellent thing, it can have some negative consequences too. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.
Armor items can be upgraded to improve their stats. This can increase the base defense of a helm or chest, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may roll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with their relative values. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu using the circling arrows. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level or connect to the status of your account.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons and fire as well as magic. This makes it easier to traverse difficult areas. The more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you have, so it's important to improve your armor as often as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain that corresponds you'll be able to contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a decent-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a few friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to work on upgrading it to gain physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, provide an immediate effect for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. In addition the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in an Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades is dependent on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
There were a few changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance have now a duration of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item. The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be mixed in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly important like a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
In item upgrades to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. In contrast to other upgrades for items, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades to trinkets are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new one. A player can upgrade a trinket with just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as the old one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets have become not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players which makes them an extremely popular alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other equipment that they won't replace in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade, players should take into account their class's preferred statistics. For example If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they are no longer useful, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying the new one.
